Over the summer Jordan Rakei has pleasantly teased fans with music  from his pending CD Wall Flower that is due out 9.22.17.  Earlier he released Sorceress.  The latest song release is entitled Nerve.  You can check it out first here.

When I was writing ’Nerve’, I was really focusing on maintaining a traditional song structure but I wanted to layer it up loads to try to create a wall of sound effect. I love strings so much, so I’m glad that they made it onto the track. As for the guitar, that would be the great input from The Invisible’s frontman and guitarist Dave Okumu who is an absolute beast… I’m very humbled to have him be a part of this tune!”

‘Wallflower’ tracklisting:

1. Eye To Eye
2. May
3. Sorceress
4. Nerve
5. Goodbyes
6. Clues Blues
7. Chemical Coincidence
8. Carnation
9. Lucid
10. Hiding Place
11. Wallflower (feat. Kaya Thomas-Dyke)

DJ Jazzy Jeff Presents The Playlist ft Glenn Lewis

At approximately 10:30 pm Eastern Standard Time on 2.16.17,  DJ Jazzy Jeff made history. He proceeded to blow the minds of the masses with a project that was written recorded mixed and mastered in a weeks time. The project is entitled ChasinGoosebumps and after you listen to it you will notice the goosebumps begin to rise.

This project is a result of The Playlist Retreat which has become known as a musical Mecca for some of the best producers musicians singers and songwriters in the game. With only one agenda…to create and be great. All Egos were checked at the door and creativity was allowed to shine. None other than the one and only Glenn Lewis blessed each and every track like only he could. In attendance for the session was Eric Roberson, Avery Sunshine, Gene Brown Musinah, Mamouna Yusef, Stro Elliot, Daniel Crawford, Rich Medina, Kaida Tatham, Masego, Teek, James Poyser, Eric Lau, Tall Black Guy, Aaron Draper, Dre Harris, Ant Bell and many more.

DJ Jazzy Jeff live streamed parts of the process on Facebook. He has showed the industry that it doesn’t take months and years to produce art. It can be done independently without the machine.

You can listen to the entire project here then purchase the album for your collection.
