Sy Smith Does Carnegie Hall

Sy Smith Does Carnegie Hall

syatcarnegie1It’s a performer’s dream to grace the stage of the World renowned Carnegie Hall. Something about your performance there screams to the World that you have made it! Many greats have performed on that stage. We can add to that list the incomparable Sy Smith. Sy performed with The New York Pops under the direction of Music Director and Conductor Steven Reineke and guest artists Montego Glover and Capathian Jenkins.

The orchestra paid homage to Billie Holiday during this centennial year of her birth and other groundbreaking icons of American popular song, from Ella Fitzgerald to Sarah Vaughan to Dinah Washington.

Sy Smith stated, “I can’t even begin to explain how it felt to be on stage with Steven Reineke, The New York Pops, Montego Glover and Capathian Jenkins in NYC tonight at Carnegie Hall. I’m overwhelmed, humbled, high and possibly hallucinating… But this is an all-natural feeling that can only come from the magic of the stage. What a blessing! What a monumental performance! My heart is so full of love right now.”

sysyatcarnegieNeedless to say the soul community is more than proud of Sy Smith. Check out how our sister let the world have it in The New York Pops Sophisticated Ladies Performance…. Check out the snippet from the performance below. Enjoy!

Jon Bibbs Stars In Video With His New Wife

Jon Bibbs Stars In Video With His New Wife

My finding this Neo Soul crooner was truly by mistake, it’s the best mistake i’ve made. I can honestly say
like many of his fans i’ve been hooked by his swagger and smooth melodic vibe ever since. The language of love he sings of is woven into a beautiful tapestry of soul that has the ability to touch the hearts and souls of all that hear.
Back in April of this year, Dr. Jon Bibbs married Sonja the love of his life.

“The face you make when your #WCW says “I Do”! Sometimes things take time to develop. That’s definitely our story! One thing’s for sure – what is meant to be will always find a way to come to fruition!” Bibbs’ latest track “Nobody Loves You More” is loosely based on their story. The crooner let’s us know that sometimes things don’t happen quickly that relationships take time to build. Check the video for Nobody loves you more Enjoy!
