Jazz, dance and electronic music producer, Daniel Crawford, is an American soul treasure. “I like to describe my sound as feel good music. No matter what style of music I do, it has to feel good.” These are the words provided when recently asked about his style. Many tunes you have heard before that you probably didn’t know he had a hand in will certainly surprise you such as the standout hit Ain’t That Something from the Eric Roberson and Phonte collaboration project, Tigallerro. Born in Los Angeles, CA, Daniel began playing piano at age 6 and has been producing since he was 13. A 13 year old producer? Absolutely astonishing!!! Music is his calling. He became a member of the band Wylde Bunch and has toured with Raphael Sadiq, Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, Omarion and Lalah Hathaway. As a producer, Daniel has released 7 mixtapes including tributes to the late greats J. Dilla, Fela Kuti and Michael Jackson. He released jazz album RED PILL in 2012, ACOUSTIC DREAMS in 2014 and THE AWAKENING in 2014. Some of his most recognizable songs include The Change, Charleston Ice, Strictly for my Nequs and Your Guess Is As Good As Mine. Currently, he is working on a new album with Jazzy Jeff, Kaidi Tatham, Osunlade, Dayne Jordan and Omari Hardwick with production help from Mr. Hardwick and Eric Roberson. With influences from Duke Ellington, George Duke, Ray Charles and Donny Hathaway, Daniel Crawford is aiming to bring good vibes, positivity and healing music to us all.
